Migrants in need of help

We are fundraising for a group of migrants that were victims of labour traffick in Canada and they were unable to leave while immigration is processing their cases.
This group of workers have been mobilizing and organizing themselves since July to find solutions to what the group was living in their place of work and for the abuse and mistreatment to stop.
It’s because of this that the grand majority ended up being fired in October 2023, for asking for justice.
And, as solutions usually come later rather than sooner, now we need your help. Since they were fired, the group have found themselves incapable of working, and at the same time, restricted from leaving the country due to their applications at Immigration Canada being still ongoing. Due to all of this, a considerable amount of this people are right now in very precarious situations; being kicked out of their apartments due to unpayment, not being able to afford basic needs, such as food, medication, and other necessities.
Many of these former workers are here with their families, with minors, that are also facing the consequences of the abuse and injustices their parents have lived and of the bureaucratic delays there have been in protecting the victims.
Some of the former workers, seeing the hardship that their former colleagues are going through, have come to us with the idea of organizing a fundraiser in benefit of this group of people. That is why we are coming to you for help, in solidarity, as your support might be key in solving the issues the former workers are facing.
We would like for you to consider donating and to circulate this GoFundMe page so it can reach as much people as possible. We understand that the success of this initiative relies on solidarity and your donation will have an impact in a great number of people and their families.
