Grande manifestation nationale à Montréal
du Front d’action populaire en réaménagement urbain (FRAPRU)

Près de 80 personnes, mal-logées ou locataires de logements sociaux, prendront la route du 3 au 9 octobre pour réclamer que les gouvernements fédéral et québécois investissent, dès leur prochain budget, des sommes importantes dans la lutte contre les problèmes de logement et d’itinérance. Des dizaines d’actions et d’interventions publiques auront
lieu, tout au long de la semaine dans des villes aussi éloignées l’une de l’autre que Rouyn-Noranda et Sept-Îles. Le tout se terminera par une grande manifestation nationale qui partira de l’un des quartiers les plus pauvres du Canada, Parc Extension, pour se terminer dans un des coins les plus riches de l’Île de Montréal.

50 000 new housing units – its urgent!
National demonstration in Montreal
by the Common Front for Action on urban development (FRAPRU)

Approximately 80 people, will be on the road from October 3rd to 9th to demand that the federal and Quebec governments invest more money for next year’s budget in an effort to fight the problem of lack of housing and homelessness. Dozens of actions and public interventions will take place throughout the week in cities as far as Rouyn-Noranda and Sept-Îles. This caravan will culminate in a major national event that will start from one of the poorest neighborhoods in Canada, Parc Extension, and end in one of the richest areas of the Island of Montreal.
