On May 9, 2026, the Immigrant Workers Centre (IWC-CTI) was pleased to collaborate with Blouin Avocats for a presentation on pathways to permanent residence. The free workshop, led by lawyer Soraya Blouin at our Montreal office, gave approximately fifty participants an opportunity to learn more about the Québec Skilled Worker Selection Program (PSTQ) and the Québec Experience Program (PEQ).
Additional Resources for Permanent Residence
The IWC-CTI is a community organization that defends the rights of migrants. Among other things, we fight for status for all and for the abolition of closed work permits. We are also a public education centre focusing on immigration and labour law. We have offices in Quebec City, Chicoutimi, Rimouski, Gatineau, and Montreal.
In Montreal, our labour law information clinic is open Tuesday through Thursday, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
To make an appointment at the legal information clinic if you have questions about your rights at work or problems with your work permit, please send a summary of your situation to the following email address: info@iwc-cti.ca
The Immigrant Workers Centre does not specialize in permanent residence applications. For questions on this subject, we suggest contacting AIEM (website), an organization that assists immigrants in Montreal who need support with their permanent residence applications. You can book an appointment online or contact the organization by telephone at 514-723-4939.
