Amazon Workers in Quebec Ready to Form Historic Union

Today, Amazon workers in Laval, Quebec, ignite a revolutionary spark as they embark on the journey to form the first union in a Canadian Amazon warehouse. The Montreal Amazon Workers Union (MAWU-CSN) presents evidence to the Tribunal administratif du travail (TAT), revealing a majority of DXT4 warehouse employees have signed union cards.

In the face of exploitation and surveillance, workers unite against unjust wages, precarious contracts, and unsafe conditions. Their solidarity challenges corporate tyranny, with activists Vincent and Miguel leading the charge.

Facing initial reluctance and intimidation, Vincent and Miguel spearhead a grassroots campaign, sparking conversations and building trust among their peers. Their perseverance pays off, inspiring a groundswell of support for unionization.

Caroline Senneville of CSN applauds the workers’ courage and denounces Amazon’s campaign of fear. This unionization effort transcends the confines of a single warehouse, serving as a beacon of hope for workers everywhere.

Amazon workers send a clear message to Jeff Bezos and corporate elites: exploitation will no longer be tolerated. This historic moment marks the beginning of a larger struggle against corporate power and technological oppression.

To advance their cause, workers are urged to attend the Amazon Workers Committee at the Migrant Workers Center. This vital space fosters collaboration and strategizing to organize all workers in Amazon warehouses across Montreal, amplifying the collective voice of the labor movement.
