Our recent May 1 Labor Day festival celebrated the struggles of immigrant workers organized by the CBI. The festival, filled with music, songs, theatrical performances and video screenings, showcased the experiences of farmworkers and highlighted the need to continue to support and raise awareness of them.
A Journal Métro report highlights the vulnerability and precarious working conditions faced by migrant farmworkers, highlighting the importance of our work at CBI and the need for community support.
The report highlights how migrant farmworkers often suffer from exploitation, low wages and dangerous working conditions. Many of these workers are unaware of their rights, which exposes them to abuse and mistreatment. The Migrant Worker Center is committed to addressing these issues by providing resources, assistance and awareness of migrant farmworker rights.
